Oops!
I meant to post this a week ago but it seems that I have neglected to do so...
Anyway, on to the actual journal post!
-----------------------
I know I promised you guys an explanation regarding my absence as of late and I do intend to tell you, but first, we'll cover the goings-on that went-on during Anime North! (I'll keep it short and
then we'll go over the other stuff...)
We got there on Thursday to get the rooms, unpack and all that jazz. We then went to look at cosplays (I kept ogling this really hot bunny girl that wore a
short mini-skirt) and then grab some sushi. We spent most of Friday either in front of the Toronto Congress Center practicing our
Asian Squats (this put the skirt right at eye level ^_^ ) or inside the TCC spending copious amounts of money. Saturday, wandered around, we checked out more cosplays (damn was she hot!!), we checked out the panels, we bought more swag and then we ended the day with an hour or two playing
Munchkin and getting sick (more on this in the next section of the journal). Sunday went by really fast. All we really got to do was check out the dealer room once again (to wipe out any shred of cash we had left), checked out even more cosplays (and drool over the bunny girl one more time), more panels, and
et cetera till we left. On the drive home, we all, including the driver (me), caramelldansen'd while other motorists looked at us with confused expressions. THEND
Now the important stuff!
As some of you might know, I've been having some constant medical hindrances/annoyances (involving constant nausea, constant fatigue, constant stomach pains, etc...) since I was like 13 or 15 years old then, a few years ago, I developed a stutter and leg tremors (which I've mostly got under control) and then, a few months ago, my legs stopped working properly (they went numb, started to hurt and have been in that state since). But this is all old news by now. The new bit of info is the possible cause of all this mess! After countless hours/days of searching, we found a clue that then led us to wheat gluten intolerance as a probable culprit. We went for some of the tests (we went for the blood test but we're still waiting for the biopsy of my stomach) and then I switched to a gluten free diet. The results aren't in yet but DAMN do I feel better! I don't feel as sick, the pain is mostly gone, legs are feeling stronger and I'm even loosing a bit of weight! The only real down side to this new diet is that when ever I get even the slightest amount of wheat gluten in me, I get intoxicated and, when I say intoxicated, I mean drunk-ish (and the stuff is in almost everything these days...).
Also, in a completely unrelated note, I forgot to close my buddy ~
djerodek's car door the other day and accidentally got his iPod Touch and GPS stolen...
(Sorry, bro...)
Well, that about covers it!
(There's probably more but it's most likely not that important...)
